A minor handwriting technique with a huge benefit is the use of the non-dominant hand to stabilize the paper while writing.  The use of the non-dominant hand on the paper facilitate good handwriting posture, sensory feedback, and encourages bilateral coordination.  Try placing one of these finger eye puppets on a finger from your student’s non-dominant hand.  Instruct the child to allow the “Google Guy” to watch what you are writing.  You can purchase them from this website (12 for $2.75): http://www.oobieyes.com/GooglyEyes.html
