Presented By: Nisha S. Sanghvi, OTR/L

Many of our children are inundated with rules and expectations that change throughout their day. It can be challenging for them to navigate and often results in behaviors that are not ideal.  It is our job to identify the “why” behind the behavior and to be able to provide support strategies to enable independence with daily tasks and interactions. This team-based proactive approach takes time, effort, and energy before the activity. Children need opportunities for self-reflection to increase emotional awareness and regulation to be able to generalize effective strategies within a variety of environments.

Benefits to Attending:

  • Clearly identify the behavior and the function of behavior in a collaborative manner
  • Data collection to effectively implement strategies and determine when modifications and accommodations are necessary
